Annual GKMSA Meeting Minutes – October 6, 2011

Attendance: President Kyle Rider, VP Scott Goulet, Treasurer Gordie Daniels, Secretary Nathan Johnson, UIC Joe Warhall, D1 Rep Billy Smith, D2 Rep Rick Duquette, D5 Rep Ryan Lawliss and Umpire Rep Ron Bush.

Agenda:

- Treasurer Gordie discussed the meeting outline.

- President Kyle Rider said a few words about the past season and the upcoming season.

- Treasurer Gordie went over the treasurer’s report. Brief discussion on possible increases in the future to prevent losing money.

- Secretary Nathan Johnson said a few words about the website and last season.

- VP Scott Goulet said a few words about last season.

- Voted to change wording of the Constitution Article 4 Section 5 to allow any individuals at the meeting to be able to vote. Unanimously approved.

- Discussion on 2012 add-ons and rosters. Possibility of requiring last names to be used in the scorebook.

- Tom Little and Scott Goulet each gave brief speeches to why they were running for GKMSA President.

- Vote for President:

First vote ended in a tie after absentee votes and ballot election. After a brief discussion we decided to have a re-vote. The re-vote results:

Tom Little – 36

Scott Goulet – 34

- Tom Little briefly spoke on winning the election and next season.

- Stan Cutts spoke briefly about wooden bat tournaments and other fund raisers.

- Vote to elect unopposed board positions:

Vice President Kyle Rider – approved

Treasurer Gordie Daniels – approved

Secretary Nathan Johnson – approved

- Comments and discussion about the website, rosters, uniforms and balls and bats for next season.

- Board voted unanimously to approve UIC Joe Warhall.
