GKMSA Complaint Night Meeting Minutes – March 8, 2011

Attendance: President Kyle Rider, VP Scott Goulet, Treasurer Gordie Daniels, Secretary Nathan Johnson, UIC Joe Warhall, Div 1 Rep Rick Duquette, Div 2 Rep Richard St. Pierre, Div 3 Rep Adrian Emmond, Div 5 Rep Ryan Lawliss, Senior Rep Tom Maynard and Umpire Rep Ron Bush.

Agenda:

-          Joe Gibson paid his dues to join the Greater Keene Men’s Softball Association for the 2011 Season.

Board began fielding complaints from teams one at a time:

-          Craig Tirrell asked to move Flipside Grill down to Division 4 based on the loss of 5 guys. The board approved moving Flipside Grill down to Division 4 with the understanding that any Add On’s will be policed, vote 10-0.

-          Paul Cullity asked to move Peerless down to Division 4 based on being a company team and the loss of their best player. The board felt they would be very competitive in Division 3 and added a very good replacement for their lost player. Board voted 10-0 to keep Peerless in Division 3.

-          Les Lynch asked to move The Benchwarmers down to Division 4 based on the loss of numerous players; including two of their best hitters. The board felt they could remain competitive and has added good players in the past.  Board voted 8-2 to keep The Benchwarmers in Division 3.

-          The Scrubs asked to be moved from Division 6 to Division 5.

-          Chad Beede and Kevin Koivunen asked to have MVS Fulfillment moved down to Division 3 based on the loss of numerous key players including their pitcher. The board voted 10-0 to allow MVS Fulfillment to Division 3 with the understanding they will not be allowed to add Fred Aldridge.

-          Devin and Gary Parenteau asked to move Parenteau Construction to Division 5. The board felt because of their last year’s record and Division 4 being different that they will be competitive in Division 4. Devin and Gary agreed to keep Parenteau Construction in Division 4.

-          Tim Stone asked to move Fenton Family Dealerships to Division 4 based on the loss of both starting pitchers and their starting shortstop. The board voted 7-3 to allow Fenton Family Dealerships to Division 4 with the understanding they will not be allowed to add any great pitching. Tim agreed to move Fenton Family dealerships back to Division 3 if he can find a pitcher with the help from the board by the end of the weekend.

-          Tim Goodnow turned in a roster for Gino’s Bar and Grill, the board voted to put them in Division 3 as they were placed in Division 2 because the lack of having a roster turned in, vote 10-0.

-          The roster of Alliance Paving was brought to the attention of the board. After review the board felt that Alliance Paving was a Division 3 team, the board called Dave Matson to inform him and give him a choice to drop a player(s) to stay in Division 4, he chose to keep his team as it was, vote 10-0.

Meeting was then adjourned.
