GKMSA Executive Board Meeting Minutes – November 1, 2011

Attendance: President Tom Little, VP Kyle Rider, Treasurer Gordie Daniels and UIC Joe Warhall

Agenda:

- Bats and Balls. Balls will remain the same as last year. Bats will remain the same with the change of no Demarini Steel’s in the lowest division for this upcoming season.

- Discussion about Division 5 being too big and needing to be split or shift top teams up.

- Discussion on crossover between Division 1 vs Senior League. Tabled

- Discussion on By-Laws and Constitution for elections and votes. Talk about rule for ties, candidate deadline, voting process. Also talked about paper votes for sponsor/team votes to be handed in at the end of the season with in person votes and proxy votes still allowed.

- Board reimbursed Tom Wood for Danny Blood re-instatement fee. Danny Blood will need to pay for it before returning.

- Discussion on the Legion Fields.

- Discussed possible increases of player and sponsor fees. Tabled

- Discussed increase in the Walt Tourney fee and possibility of more tournaments. Sponsor and division tournaments, possible Len Ruffle tournament.

- Talk about rosters needing to be clean and legible (coaches responsibility). Also discussed in town vs out of town fees.

- Discussed topics for the next meeting.
