GKMSA Executive Board Meeting Minutes – November 22, 2011

Attendance: President Tom Little, VP Kyle Rider, Treasurer Gordie Daniels, Secretary Nathan Johnson and UIC Joe Warhall

Agenda:

- Reviewed the last meeting.

- Discussed the Legion Fields and that we will have them next year.

- Discussed the balls and looked at a quote from RJ’s, looking at two other quotes soon.

- Discussed the cost we will cover for Ball of Fame this upcoming year.

- Discussion on more tournaments and recruiting for tournaments.

- Future meeting dates were set.

- Discussed player and sponsor fees further. Tabled until next meeting after looking at projected budget.

- Discussed the idea of a “Free Agent” team run by the board to get new players into the league and then picked up by other reams. Martin Sheldon to call last year’s “Free Agents”

- Discussed the Add/Drop issues from last year and how to fix it for this year.

- Talk about a possible poker tournament to raise money and everything needed to be done to see if it is realistic and feasible.

- Doc brought up a movement of Senior League playoffs to the week before the rest of playoffs. Tabled

- Gordie briefly talked about paying the phone bill and the website bill.

- Discussion on possible adding a new courtesy runner rule. Tabled for further discussion.

- The Walt Sturtevant Tournament date set of May 18-20^th.

- Discussed agenda for the next meeting.
