GKMSA Executive Board Meeting Minutes – December 27, 2011

Attendance: President Tom Little, VP Kyle Rider, Treasurer Gordie Daniel, Secretary Nathan Johnson and UIC Joe Warhall.

Agenda:

- Board went over last meeting’s minutes to focus on topics in order to stay on topic.

- Reviewed four budget projections that Gordie Daniels created with variable fee increases and one with no increases.

- Discussion on quote for ball quotes and going with lowest bid. Voted 4-0 to go with lowest bid with one abstaining.

- Gordie updated us that Martin Sheldon called some of the “Free Agents” from last year to gauge interest in a “Free Agent” team and found at least half of those who spoke to were interested. He planned on contacting the rest.

- Kyle Rider updated us that the timeline to get a fundraising Texas Hold ‘Em tournament together would not be possible for this season.

- Board further discussed the possibility and need of raising fees for this season. Board voted 5-0 to increase player’s fees from $40 to $45.

- Board voted 5-0 to purchase a bench plate for Red Wellington.

- Board then went through entire By-Law and Constitution for updates and re-wording that is needed. All changes will be presented to Board of Director’s at the By-Law Meeting in January for approval.
